Competitions & Events

Inspired by the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition 2021, every year, in December we run a competition where students are asked to take a photograph(s) that celebrates the natural world. Prizes are given for some entries and the winning piece(s) are transferred to canvas and displayed in the college.

In December 2021 students from the college designed Wellbeing Postcards as part of the Escape Project run by the Wye Valley NHS Trust. Chosen entries were used by the NHS Trust to inspire positivity through art around the local area.

Trips & Visits

There are a range of workshops and trips that students have the opportunity to attend for all students throughout Key Stage 3 and 4. Seeing and experiencing Art and Photography in person is crucial to develop an understanding of how the work was created and to give an emotional response.

Previous trips include: Liverpool Tate and Walker Art Gallery visits, Hereford HArt Gallery visits, London Tate Modern and National Gallery visits as well as several workshops in the Leominster town area.
